morsel:

Eagles' 'Life in the fast lane' always returns him to the hockey rink where he used to go ice skating with his father and sister. He found the rink slightly terrifying because the aggressive hockey culture seemed to step aside very reluctantly for the public figure skating hours. For better or for worse, though, his taste in classic and stadium rock was shaped by the jukebox which played in the rink house and over the PA system out on the ice: Pink Floyd, Queen, Rush, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Styx. It was cool and a little out of reach at his age. When he allowed rock into his collection later in life, songs from the ice rink were the bulk of his first acquisitions.
